Linux - Fun or too geeky?
I often hear that "Linux is only for geeks", but is this really true? I have Windows on a few machines,
and I have Linux on a few. It's not much difference. You have many different versions of Windows, and
you have many different versions of Linux. You have more versions of Linux, than you have of Windows,
so you have a better chance of finding a good linux version, than a windows version. Then also linux is
free, witch is great.
Linux operationsystem
If you are looking for some schooling, you will find that 10SP (Norway) equals
- Linux: Background, history and overview
- Use of command prompt (shell)
- Use of editor (emacs and vim)
- Unix utilities
- Filesystem in linux (structure)
- Prosess-managment
- Shell-scripting
Since this would cost 1500$ or so, I'll write about all these things. So you will get it for free.
