The Haunting in Connecticut - 2009

The movie only score 5,8 on the IMDB scale. This might be because people was expecting to see a horror movie. This is a bad horror movie. It's even a bad thriller. But if you don't look at what the others say, and you leave the critics alone. See the movie as one romantic horrordrama. It's got all the sloppy stuff for the girls, and enough horror to make the girl crawl up close to the person sitting next to her. For you guys, there is also enough fire and blood to make it a good watch when you got someone to hold during the boring parts. It also helps if you got a beer of some kind.

The movie is about a boy who got cancer. As sad as it may sound, the movie does not put a sad little boy face to this character. He is the hero of the story, but not in the old fashion american way. He's just an ordinary guy, having bad dreams who needs a mom to protect him, but he steps up to the plate when he needs to.

The family is forced to move because it's too far to go to the hosepital from where they have a home now.. They move to a house where the supernatural appears. The boy have visions about the terrible things that happened in this house. They did get it wrong in the beginning though. If you have seen the movie "The sixth sense" and you liked it, it might be just the movie for you.

The movie is a bit sloppy made, and the end might look a bit weird. It's supposed to be a true story, but don't mind this. It's a fiction story, and leave it at that. I would say it's not the best movie I've seen this week even, but it's not terrible. But like the Oracle says: "You will just have to make up your own damn mind". It's not a waste of time watching, but don't expect "the best movie ever" when you begin.

I give it dice roll 4 based on the storyline and the acting. The rest of the movie might not be great, but it got potential. I don't know the budget on this, but it's got to be a low budget movie. It's a limit to what you can do for a few thousand of green.
